Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, CoreTech Governance Leader to drive safety and soundness across the CoreTech organization. You will prepare for exams, lead execution, manage risk identification and remediation, and strengthen risk and control frameworks while guiding a governance team across 3 lines of defense.

You will oversee audit readiness, policy creation, and collaboration with Technology on risk remediation. The role requires senior stakeholder influence and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years in technology or risk management preferred.
• Governance and/or risk management experience with strong leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence across a large, multi-layered organization and present to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk and governance activities for the CoreTech organization and coordinate exams and remediation.
• Explain technical risks to non-technical leaders to prioritize business actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in issues management and audit readiness.
