Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, CoreTech Governance Leader to drive safety and soundness across CoreTech. You will prepare for internal and external Exams, lead exam execution, drive risk identification and remediation, and strengthen the risk and control framework.

You will helm the CoreTech governance team and collaborate across the 3 lines of defense. You will lead exams, communicate risk to senior leaders, and push for proactive control improvements and automation.

Qualifications

• Governance and/or risk management experience.
• Proven leadership in a matrixed, multi-level organization.
• Strong presentation skills with senior executives.
• Experience collaborating across large technology environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk and governance activities for CoreTech.
• Manage exams, audits, and risk-based prioritization.
• Lead PCI evidence delivery and 2LOD/3LOD exams.
• Communicate risk status and remediation progress to senior leadership.
• Drive control environment improvements and automation.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, and procedures.
