Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, CoreTech Governance Leader to drive safety and soundness across CoreTech, prepare for exams, and strengthen risk and control framework. This role leads a team and collaborates across all lines of defense to ensure timely remediation and robust governance.

You will coordinate OCC/FRB exams, audits, and PCI evidence delivery while communicating risk to senior leadership and driving continuous improvement in controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in Technology or Risk Management
• Proven governance and risk management experience
• Strong people leadership skills
• Experience influencing senior executives

Responsibilities

• Lead OCC and FRB exams, internal audits, 2LOD exams, pen tests
• Explain technical risk to non-technical leaders to prioritize risks
• Coordinate exams/tasks using a risk-based prioritization
• Drive risk identification, remediation, and PCI evidence delivery
• Create dashboards to communicate status and drive productivity
