Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a VP, CoreTech Governance Leader to drive safety and soundness across CoreTech. You will lead exam execution, risk identification and remediation, and strengthen risk and control frameworks while guiding a team of governance and risk resources across the organization.

You will collaborate with all lines of defense, liaise with Information Security, and own the Audit Readiness and Policies/Standards processes.

Qualifications

• Governance and risk management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 12+ years technology/risk experience.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders across a large, matrixed organization.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for senior executives.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities across stakeholders with minimal disruption.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk and governance activities for CoreTech across the organization.
• Coordinate exams/audits (OCC, FRB, 2LOD) and manage risk remediation.
• Drive PCI evidence delivery and control environment assessments.
• Collaborate with Information Security and Sox compliance teams.
• Own the Governance board and drive PI Planning and Agile ceremonies.
• Communicate status with dashboards and drive timely remediation across CoreTech.
