Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking a VP, Controller to lead and optimize the global accounting function, ensuring robust financial reporting, strong internal controls, and SOX compliance. You will partner with the CAO, CFO, and the board, guiding technical accounting, ERP optimization, and finance transformation.

The role requires 15–20 years in accounting leadership within biotech/pharma, CPA, and extensive SEC reporting experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
CPA license with deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
15–20 years of progressively responsible accounting/financial reporting experience.
At least 8–10 years in a finance leadership role.
Experience leading accounting and SEC reporting for a publicly traded biotech/pharma company.
Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
Experience in a SOX control environment.
Experience with M&A, licensing, financing, and complex accounting matters.
ERP and financial reporting system optimization experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the accounting organization, including close, consolidation, and internal controls.
Oversee consolidated financial statements and analysis of domestic and international operations.
Oversee SEC reporting activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
Lead GAAP research and accounting position papers; manage technical accounting resources.
Monitor new accounting standards and implement pronouncements.
Oversee foreign subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, and statutory reporting.
Support M&A, licensing, financing, and post‑acquisition integration.
Partner with Legal, Tax, FP&A, IT, HR, and Supply Chain for governance and treatment.
Drive ERP optimization, automation, and finance transformation.
Maintain SOX program and internal control framework; liaise with external auditors.
Mentor and develop a high‑performing accounting organization.
