Job summary

Evergreen Real Estate Services in Chicago seeks a Vice President of Construction to lead the company’s development and acquisitions construction strategy. This senior role directs general contracting and construction management, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and design intent across a growing multifamily pipeline.

You will build a scalable integrated developer-construction platform, mentor project teams, travel to sites, and partner with development leaders to deliver 20+ starts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field required.
• MBA, master's in real estate development, or related advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in multifamily construction or real estate development.

Responsibilities

• Lead Senior Leadership Team contributions to enterprise-wide strategic planning and growth.
• Support the development pipeline with construction capacity for 20+ multifamily starts annually.
• Align construction strategy with long-term portfolio performance and investment goals.
• Evaluate delivery methods to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Lead cost-saving and value engineering initiatives across the platform.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team of project managers and field staff.
• Recruit and retain construction talent as pipeline expands.
• Foster collaboration across development, construction, and property management teams.
• Build and scale an integrated developer–construction platform.
