Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation's Costa Mesa office seeks a Vice President, Commercial Underwriter responsible for underwriting complex loan requests and renewals across working capital lines, CRE loans, term loans, and other lending products.

You will review loan structures, financial spreads, collateral, and market data to prepare recommendations to Credit Administration; may mentor junior analysts and participate in special financial analyses to support credit decisions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related underwriting experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of banking operations and lending products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex loan requests and renewals for working capital lines, CRE loans, term loans, and other bank lending products.
• Review loan structures, financial statements, collateral, and market data to assess risk and prepare recommendations to Credit Administration.
• Mentor junior analysts in financial analysis and loan structuring as needed.
• Prepare loan presentations, opportunity memos, and annual reviews for senior management or Loan Committee.
