Job summary

FAIRWINDS Credit Union in Orlando seeks an experienced VP - Commercial Credit Administration to lead the Commercial Credit team and provide an independent credit perspective on complex transactions and portfolio risk.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, coach staff, and drive risk-aware credit decisioning while partnering with leadership to align credit strategy with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Significant experience in commercial credit, underwriting, or credit administration.
• Experience with complex commercial transactions.
• CRC certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of loan structuring and portfolio risk.
• Ability to coach and develop teams.
• Independent judgment and risk awareness.
• Collaborative leadership across lending teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Commercial Credit team.
• Champion underwriting standards and credit decisioning.
• Review complex commercial transactions, participations, and syndications.
• Evaluate credit quality, concentration risk, and risk-adjusted return.
• Oversee workflows, resources, and process improvements.
• Partner with the VP - Commercial Credit Officer on strategy and policy.
• Balance risk management with business objectives.
