Job summary

Community Credit Union of Florida seeks a VP, Commercial Loan Officer in Viera, FL to lead the commercial loan and deposit portfolios and originate loans while ensuring compliance with internal policies and federal regulations.

The role requires evaluating credit risk, structuring loans, growing market share, and building strong relationships with business owners to serve members effectively and responsibly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 10–15 years of directly related commercial lending experience and/or training.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial sales and underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, credit structures, tax returns.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, coaching, and training skills.
• Digital aptitude with commercial lending systems and technologies.
• Advanced quantitative skills including interest, commissions, ratios, and graphs.
• Ability to manage the credit request process from initial interview to underwriting.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to plan departmental activities and establish policies.
• Current Florida driver’s license and vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds production and activity goals; grow portfolios.
• Develops market expansion strategies and analyzes trends.
• Researches feasibility of new lending products and programs.
• Analyzes financial statements and tax returns to assess lending risk.
• Assess financial statements for risk rating and periodic reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, rates, and disclosures; ensure compliance.
• Contribute to financial health by cost controls and appropriate pricing.
• Communicate with supervisor about issues impacting interests.
• Represent CCU in community and professional organizations.
• Follow BSA/AML/CIP/CDD policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Support mission and service standards and product knowledge assessments.
• Deliver service aligned with CCU service promises.

Education

Bachelor's degree

10–15 years related commercial lending experience

5+ years commercial sales & underwriting

Excellent organizational, leadership, coaching & training

Digital aptitude with lending systems

Advanced quantitative skills

Ability to manage credit request process

Strong communication skills
