Job summary

New York Life seeks a Cloud Site Reliability Engineering Services Leader to drive a shared AWS platform and GenAI adoption across NYL’s TDAV tech community. You’ll lead a team of engineers, standardize AWS infrastructure, and enable self‑service provisioning within enterprise guardrails.

Responsibilities include automation, IaC, CI/CD, and incident leadership, while guiding stakeholders and maintaining resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field.
• AWS DevOps or Solutions Architect certifications preferred.
• Experience with ML/AI driven developer experiences.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS services, Terraform, and dev frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Drive excellence in delivered solutions and team outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Identify GenAI/Agentic AI use within team scope.
• Build self‑service infra provisioning and reusable patterns.
• Lead incident triage, post‑mortems, and RCA.
• Define SLIs/SLOs and balance feature delivery with reliability.
• Develop automation using IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and artifact management.
• Architect and maintain Terraform modules and AWS infrastructure patterns.
