Job summary
New York Life seeks a Cloud Site Reliability Engineering Services Leader to build a shared service for NYL apps and accelerate time-to-market using automated, secure AWS infrastructure. You will lead a team to deploy, maintain, and modernize platforms spanning numerous AWS services, implementing self-service capabilities with guardrails.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 8+ years IT/DevOps/SRE experience with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong Kubernetes, AWS services, Terraform knowledge.
- Experience delivering ML/AI driven developer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Drive the team to deliver high-quality solutions and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor team efficiency and identify improvement opportunities.
- Identify GenAI/Agentic AI opportunities within team scope.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; promote best practices.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Modernize fleet with resiliency, security, and cost controls.
- Champion automation using IaC, CI/CD, and artifact management.
- Establish and govern Terraform modules and standardized AWS patterns.
