Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President of Cloud Engineering to lead the Cloud Platform Engineering team across NY/NJ, Lake Mary (FL), and Pittsburgh. You will architect cloud infrastructure, drive secure, scalable solutions, and guide migrations from on-prem to Azure/AWS/GCP.

Ideal candidates have 7-9 years in software development and 5+ years in cloud engineering, with strong Terraform and programming skills in Python/Java. A multi-cloud mindset and DevOps tooling experience are required.

Qualifications

7-9 years of software development experience.
5+ years as a Cloud Engineer or cloud-native responsibilities.
Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar).

Responsibilities

Architect and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, and other IaC frameworks.
Design and build robust, secure, and maintainable solutions using Python/Java.
Migrate complex on-prem apps to Azure/AWS/GCP and contribute to cloud strategy.
Participate in full SDLC from concept to deployment and optimization.
Collaborate with Security, IAM, and Architecture teams for compliance and guardrails.
Create clear documentation to strengthen operational excellence.
Stay ahead of cloud trends to improve engineering culture.
