Job summary

U.S. Venture seeks a Cloud Engineering Lead/Manager to define vision for a hybrid/multi-cloud platform (Azure, GCP, on‑prem) and to drive enterprise cloud standards and modernization efforts.

You will mentor architects and engineers, align with executives, and coordinate infrastructure, identity, and cloud platform initiatives across the enterprise. The role requires 10+ years in cloud/hybrid environments, hands-on automation experience (Terraform/Bicep), and proven leadership and communication

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and demonstrated cloud architecture/engineering leadership.
• Proven track record leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in cloud architecture, automation (Terraform, Bicep), CI/CD, SRE, and security.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and organizational influence.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for cloud platform and enablement, aligning with business and IT strategy.
• Develop and evangelize enterprise cloud standards, guardrails, and best practices.
• Lead cross-functional architecture reviews and technology selection processes; refine cloud strategy, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
• Sponsor and guide major transformation initiatives (migration, modernization, automation at scale).
• Build and operate infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management; create CI/CD pipelines for platform components.
• Champion immutable infrastructure, declarative deployments, where appropriate.
• Oversee design and implementation of complex, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.
• Drive adoption of automation, IaC, and modern DevOps/GitOps workflows.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and guide PoC initiatives.
• Lead adoption of GitOps, SRE, FinOps, and Zero Trust across platform teams.
• Champion SRE and FinOps; set SLOs and cost optimization targets.
• Ensure robust security, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies are embedded in all solutions.
