Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a seasoned software leader to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale cloud-native applications. You will guide frontend and backend teams, champion microservices, APIs, and DevSecOps practices, and translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.

You will mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, and partner with risk and security to ensure compliance, resiliency, and observability across the platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience across frontend and backend.
• Proven track record designing, developing, and operating highly available, mission-critical systems within large enterprise environments.
• Strong experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on expertise developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications.
• Deep experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability patterns, performance optimization, and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices across development organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business priorities and technical excellence.
• Strong understanding of wealth management, brokerage, custody, or financial services platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of full-stack applications.
• Architect and deliver cloud-native applications using microservices and event-driven patterns.
• Develop responsive, scalable front-ends with modern web frameworks.
• Design and implement high-performance backend services for real-time processing.
• Build reusable components and shared services to accelerate delivery.
• Drive DevSecOps adoption and automated software delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with Product to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure security, compliance, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence.
• Lead design reviews, architecture discussions, and code quality initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence and continuous learning.
• Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, and Security to meet regulatory requirements.
• Support modernization and migration of legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures.
