Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences or related field.
• 20+ years of progressive experience in clinical research or development.
• Global leadership experience overseeing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Defines and executes the clinical development strategy across the portfolio with accountability for multi-year outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• Exercises strategic judgment in high-stakes decisions under ambiguity to optimize enterprise outcomes.
• Partners with CMO and peers to shape integrated development strategies and lifecycle plans.
• Establishes and evolves the Clinical Development operating model and governance.
• Represents Clinical Development in executive forums and external partnerships.
• Contributes to major regulatory submissions aligning with global health authority expectations.
• Builds and develops a multi-layer Clinical Development leadership organization.
• Manages budgets, workforce planning, and resource allocation across the portfolio.
• Champions diversity in clinical research and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Leads through organizational change while maintaining trust and execution momentum.

Education

MD/PhD/PharmD or equivalent

10+ years senior leadership in clinical programs

Experience leading programs through regulatory approval
