Job summary

Fingerpaint Group is seeking a Vice President, Client Services to provide strategic leadership across a major portfolio of pharmaceutical and medical communications accounts. You will partner with lead client executives, guide strategy, and drive revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.

You will oversee staffing, forecast revenue, and mentor teams, balancing growth with profitability, and ensure regulatory compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a relevant field; an advanced degree (PharmD, BSN, PhD, MS, MBA) is a plus.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive pharmaceutical and/or medical communications agency experience, demonstrating sustained success in a high-level leadership capacity (prior experience as Account Director required).
• Skills: deep knowledge of pharma/agency industries; strong business acumen; excellent relationship management; high-level scientific knowledge; regulatory awareness; travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client relationship function by serving as the principal business partner to lead client executives; monitor marketplace and guide strategic changes.
• Provide organizational leadership to internal and client teams; implement process/workflow changes to adapt to clients and market dynamics.
• Resolve complex strategic and operational conflicts between staff, teams, and clients where expectations diverge from service agreements.
• Guide strategy leveraging high-level scientific and medical communications knowledge; ensure deliverables compliantly advance client objectives.
• Accountable for overall client satisfaction and achieving client goals.
• Manage staffing for a portfolio of accounts and forecast revenue; control costs.
• Drive revenue, growth, and client retention by identifying expansion opportunities.
• Participate in new business development, prospecting, and onboarding.
