Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking a VP of Claims Adjudication to design and drive our claims strategy across jurisdictions. You will lead the adjudication function, ensuring optimal outcomes and exceptional customer experiences, while collaborating with the executive team and partners to advance our claims vision.

This leadership role requires 15+ years in workers' compensation and claims operations, with 10+ years of people management.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with workers' compensation claims and adjudication.
• 10+ years of people management experience.
• Experience building and leading large claims teams (15+).
• Experience managing second-line managers (Directors/Senior Managers).
• Expert knowledge of disputing/litigated claims across jurisdictions.
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking in insurance claims.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee claims adjudication across all jurisdictions.
• Direct all aspects of adjudication operations and annual planning.
• Develop and implement claims programs for workers' compensation.
• Lead the adjudication authority with executive-level insights.
• Oversee quarterly review and settlement of large losses and catastrophes.
• Develop adjudication policies to improve processing, investigation, and settlement.
