Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking a visionary Vice President of Claims Adjudication to lead our adjudication organization across all jurisdictions from a remote setting in the United States. You will partner with the CCO and executive team to shape and execute Pie's claims strategy, improving outcomes and customer experiences for workers' compensation and related claims.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with workers' compensation claims, field claims operations, and claims adjudication.
• 10+ years of people management experience with a track record of developing leaders.
• Experience building and managing claims adjudication teams of 15+ with proven leadership development.
• Must have experience managing second-line managers (Directors and Senior Managers).
• Expert knowledge of managing disputed and litigated claims across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pie's claims adjudication function across all jurisdictions.
• Plan and direct all aspects of claims adjudication operations, daily and long-term.
• Implement claims programs for workers' compensation.
• Lead claims adjudication authority and advise the Executive Team.
• Direct quarterly review and settlement of large loss and catastrophe claims.
• Develop and guide adjudication procedures to improve processing, investigation, and settlement.
