Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Vice President, Civil Engineering Transportation Project Manager to lead PID, PA&ED and PS&E delivery for Caltrans and local agencies across Northern California. The role supports our San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, or Sacramento offices and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex transportation programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline required.
• Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and highway design.
• Minimum of 10 years delivering Caltrans related projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation projects for Caltrans and local agencies in Northern California.
• Manage PID, PA&ED and PS&E projects across full lifecycle; serve in senior leadership roles as needed.
• Plan scopes, develop schedules, and prepare fees; participate in contract negotiations.
• Provide project oversight to ensure financial performance, QA/QC, and risk management.
• Guide staff in project management best practices and QA/QC to meet client expectations.
