Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Vice President, Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead our California Regional Transportation team for Southern California projects, based in any California office. You will oversee roadway and municipal projects, mentor staff and drive growth while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

The role involves partnering with the Local Business Leader, senior management, and clients to shape strategy, win new work, and ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Engineer license required (California preferred).
• 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in civil engineering and infrastructure design.
• Ability to lead and grow the civil engineering business.
• Experience as a project manager, deputy project manager, construction management or task lead on projects.
• Ability to work independently and provide guidance and leadership with QA/QC.
• Advanced proficiency with project delivery processes in A/E/C and strong PM background.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to lead across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of roadway and transportation projects for local agencies in Southern California.
• Provide leadership, mentoring staff and growing the Civil Engineering Transportation team.
• Support business development, client engagement and pursuits in California.
• Oversee project management, contract negotiations and risk management.
• Ensure quality PS&E documents, reports and project deliverables.
