Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network invites nominations for Vice President/Chief Development Officer to lead fundraising and philanthropy across its Central New York network of hospitals and clinics. Working with executive leadership, the VP/CDO will strengthen a comprehensive program and drive strategic donor engagement to support mission-critical priorities.

The role requires building a high-performing team, managing donor relations, and translating priorities into transformational opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and CFRE desirable.
Seven+ years of progressively responsible fundraising leadership experience.
Proven record of securing major gifts and leading comprehensive fundraising programs.
Experience leading a capital campaign is highly desirable.
Strong partner with executive leadership, boards, clinicians, and donors.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive philanthropy strategy aligning donor interests with Bassett's priorities.
Lead all fundraising activities including major gifts, annual giving, and events.
Manage a portfolio of leadership and principal gift prospects.
Collaborate with leadership and Trustees to pursue significant gift opportunities.
Translate Bassett’s priorities into compelling philanthropic opportunities.
