Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Foundation seeks a strategic President & Chief Development Officer to lead philanthropy, campaigns and donor engagement. The CDO will drive major gifts, steward key prospects and work with hospital leadership to advance the Foundation’s mission.

This senior role requires extensive not-for-profit experience, strong leadership, and a track record of successful campaigns. Travel and close collaboration with governance boards are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12–15 years of not-for-profit leadership experience.
• Proven success in soliciting and closing principal gifts and leading campaigns.
• Strong ability to articulate vision for a children's hospital and align fundraising with strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising program across donor constituencies.
• Lead the Foundation's executive team and supervise budget, staffing and operations.
• Solicit major gifts and oversee stewardship of top-tier prospects.
• Represent the Foundation to the Board, donors, physicians and community leaders.
