Job summary

Pathward, N.A. is seeking a Vice President, Financial Risk focusing on Capital Markets Oversight. This role leads the second line of defense for treasury and capital markets activities and partners with the first line to ensure robust risk management and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the SVP, Head of Financial Risk, you will define oversight programs, challenge risk assumptions, and present to executives and the Board. Strong communication and governance expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or mathematics preferred.
• MBA or CFA, preferred.
• Typically 12+ years in banking, capital markets or comparable financial services.
• 8+ years of capital planning, liquidity risk and investment management experience.
• Demonstrated experience presenting risk to regulators and auditors, leading discussions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee second line capital markets risk program and annual oversight plan.
• Direct evaluation of funds management and liquidity risk processes; approve risk conclusions.
• Provide credible challenge to interest rate risk assumptions and modeling.
• Assess investment portfolio risk characteristics, counterparties and hedging strategies.
• Monitor exposure limits and risk indicators; escalate breaches to leadership.
