Job summary

Incline P&C Group in Austin, TX is seeking a VP, Business Development to drive proactive growth through pipeline development and expanded broker relationships. You will lead outreach to MGAs, program administrators, and prospective clients, coordinating with underwriting to broaden channel ownership and align with enterprise growth goals.

Expect to own conference strategy, referral networks, and KPI reporting via a robust CRM.

Qualifications

10+ years in business development, distribution, or market-facing roles within specialty insurance, MGA, or reinsurance.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Deep familiarity with the reinsurance broker landscape and MGA ecosystem; existing relationships advantageous.

Responsibilities

Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a centralized database of target MGAs, program administrators, and prospective clients; drive structured, data-informed outreach to convert targets into opportunities.
Broker & Channel Relationships: Cultivate and expand relationships with reinsurance brokers at priority firms; partner with underwriters to broaden broker relationship ownership across the team.
Referral Channel Activation: Develop reinsurers and service providers as structured referral sources.
Conference & Event Strategy: Own Incline’s presence at key industry events; plan pre-event meetings and post-event pipeline tracking.
CRM & Reporting: Enhance and manage a CRM with leadership visibility into relationship ownership and pipeline status; report KPIs at QBRs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with underwriting to coordinate commercial/personal lines outreach; contribute to key account strategy.
