Job summary

BKF is seeking a seasoned Vice President of Business Development to lead strategic growth across California and the West Coast. The role reports to the Chief Business Development Officer and oversees regional BD leaders, driving bookings, pipeline, and market expansion for the Planning and Government Solutions Division.

The successful candidate will have at least 15 years in BD/marketing leadership in A/E/C or infrastructure services, with a strong network in California public and private

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, marketing leadership, and strategic planning.
• Located near one of BKF’s Northern California offices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing, communications, civil engineering, or related field.
• Proven leadership in client relationships and revenue growth.
• Strong CRM, data-driven development, and strategic selling skills.
• Extensive network with state and municipal agencies in California.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive BD program annual financial goals for the division.
• Develop and execute BD strategies for planning and government services.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines.
• Build and implement sales/marketing initiatives to drive growth.
• Represent BKF at industry events and client meetings.
• Collaborate with leadership to align BD efforts with corporate goals.
• Ensure CRM is used to plan, track, and report pipeline.
• Mentor Regional BD Directors and support regional growth plans.
• Travel as required across BKF regions.
