Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the United States seeks a Business Banking Credit Risk Manager, VP, to lead a team of Divisional Credit Officers. You will decision new credit requests, renew lines, and complete annual reviews while maintaining relationships with Sales, Operations, Legal, Compliance and other Risk leaders.

You will assess portfolio risk, ensure team decisions comply with requirements, and drive improvements in controls and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with advanced coursework in finance, accounting, and credit.
• 10+ years of experience in relationship management or credit roles with commercial expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of credit policies, loan documentation, bankruptcy and related matters.
• Strong risk assessment, regulatory management, policy development and risk mitigation skills.
• Proven leadership in managing time-sensitive, complex initiatives and teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for senior management interactions.
• Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of credit officers who analyze and decision credit requests of varying complexity.
• Apply risk appetite across industries and geographies; assign risk grades and loss given default.
• Manage resources and workflow for deal flow, renewals, and portfolio management.
• Present positions clearly and defend decisions with management and stakeholders.
• Partner with functions to improve processes for efficiency and consistency while maintaining credit quality.
• Review employee activities to ensure controls and identify improvement areas.
• Use analytics and reporting to manage resources and workload.
• Collaborate with Model Review Group for model documentation and approvals.
• Prepare deep dives and present updates on the credit portfolio to senior risk forums.
