Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Vice President of Business Development in Richmond, VA. This executive role focuses on leading strategic revenue growth across energy, infrastructure, and related markets, selling engineering and technical services to complex environments.

Relocation to Richmond is required with relocation assistance available. The candidate will build executive-level client relationships, drive new opportunities, and shape long-term growth strategies while collaborating with engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline required).
• 10+ years of business development, sales, or commercial leadership experience.
• Experience selling engineering services, technical consulting services, EPC/EPCM services, capital projects, industrial services, or similar engineering-based solutions.
• Experience developing relationships with executive stakeholders and technical decision makers.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating complex service agreements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Richmond, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new client opportunities within targeted markets.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with clients, engineering leaders, operations teams, and key decision makers.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic account development and new market expansion.
• Lead all phases of the sales process from opportunity identification to client onboarding.
• Mentor and influence business development and operations teams to foster growth.
