What will you be doing?
Barclays Bank PLC seeks VP, Associate, Sales, and Trading in New York, New York (multiple positions available):
- Price, execute, and hedge client flows on interest rate options.
- Make bid or offer quotes based on analysis of market movements, risk tolerance, and clients' investment objectives.
- Identify pricing parameters, analyze risk drivers, and conduct stress testing to determine fair prices for complex and atypical trades.
- Responsible for dynamic risk management.
- Monitor trade flows and collaborate with MO on trade bookings, option expiries, and other operational tasks.
- Identify trading opportunities and develop solutions for client needs through RV analysis and understanding of economic outlook and trading dynamics.
- Collaborate with Quants to develop and refine advanced quantitative pricing and risk management models and tools.
- Improve desk work efficiency by automating reports on risk summaries, trade simulations, position analysis, etc.
- Cultivate client relationships and attend client meetings.
- May telecommute.
Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $196,150 per year
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $204,500 per year

Purpose of the role
To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and stay informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions.
Accountabilities
- Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters.
- Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks.
- Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines.
- Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
