Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel for Home Lending Litigation to lead actual and potential mortgage-related litigation.

You will work independently and with outside counsel, advising senior management and translating complex legal issues into strategic business recommendations. You will manage disputes, interpret evolving laws, and guide advocacy, with responsibility across loan origination, servicing and foreclosure.

Qualifications

• Five years of post‑admission legal practicing experience.
• Juris Doctorate degree and licensure in appropriate jurisdiction.
• Knowledge of and experience with complex litigation matters.
• Ability to assume significant independent responsibility immediately.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically, write well and communicate with senior executives.
• Ability to build and maintain client and colleague relationships.

Responsibilities

• Managing actual and potential litigation matters.
• Advising on litigation issues impacting loan origination, servicing and foreclosure.
• Managing dispute resolution.
• Interpreting laws, rules, and regulations and advising on changes.
• Advising on advocacy related to proposed laws and regulations.
