Sierra Central Credit Union is seeking a strategic leader to guide its Asset Recovery function from the Corporate Headquarters in Yuba City, CA. The Vice President will shape risk-aware loss-mitigation programs, drive performance analytics, and align with enterprise objectives while ensuring compliance and member-focused outcomes.

The role requires 7+ years in asset recovery, 5+ years in leadership, and strong expertise in portfolios, collections systems, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in asset recovery, collections, credit risk, loss mitigation or related financial-services discipline.
• Advanced experience in all areas of loss mitigation including collections, charge-offs, foreclosures, bankruptcies, repossessions, and managing outsourced servicing providers.
• Minimum of 5 years leadership experience, including leading managers or a comparably complex function.
• Proficiency with portfolio analytics, financial and operational reporting, and executive presentation tools.
• Experience defining and governing collections-system capabilities, workflows, and integrations.

Responsabilités

• Establish and lead enterprise asset recovery strategy and goals.
• Direct analysis of collection performance, delinquency trends, and loss exposure.
• Forge partnerships with senior management across Lending, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Member Service.
• Build and lead a high-performing Asset Recovery team with clear accountability.
• Set decision frameworks, approval authorities, and escalation protocols for complex matters.
• Oversee Asset Recovery compliance and control environment with policies and training.
• Govern Asset Recovery policies, standards, and delegated authorities.
• Provide escalation support for the most complex delinquent accounts.
• Drive continuous improvement in recoveries, costs, controls, and member experience.
• Recommend legal actions, repossessions, foreclosures, settlements, and charge-offs.”
• Manage relationships with legal counsel, insurance providers, and third-party vendors.
• Prepare monthly reports for senior management; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Coach and develop Asset Recovery staff; participate in ongoing education.
• Establish performance-management and QA framework with KPIs and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
