Job summary

State Street Alpha seeks an AI Governance Architect to lead responsible adoption of Generative AI, LLMs, and agentic AI across the organization. You will collaborate with architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, product, legal, risk management, and FinOps to ensure AI solutions align with enterprise governance, security, regulatory, risk, and cost standards.

Ideal candidates bring deep experience in AI governance, cloud platforms, responsible AI, and financial services control

Qualifications

• Four year degree in a technical field.
• 4–12 years of overall work experience in Financial Technology and application production support.
• Exposure to SQL and relational databases such as Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server.
• Exposure to structured programming languages; extensive experience in system administration and cloud operations.
• Familiarity with Salesforce for case tracking; knowledge of cloud computing and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI technologies and services against enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, regulatory, privacy, operational, and cost management requirements.
• Interpret enterprise policy and translate it into Charles River standards, control requirements and review criteria.
• Maintain traceability from enterprise obligations to the relevant Charles River control, owner and evidence.
• Represent Charles River in enterprise policy development with software engineering and cloud operations considerations.
• Identify where enterprise policy does not fit a software engineering organization and secure adaptions or exceptions.
• Own intake, classification and approval for AI use across engineering, cloud operations and Charles River business functions.
• Align classification and inventory to the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the enterprise risk taxonomy.
