Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking a senior engineering leader to define and drive AI-enabled product strategy across our Corrections and Law Enforcement lines. You will guide teams toward agentic delivery with human oversight, owning the roadmap and governance across the lifecycle.

You will set engineering standards, oversee platform modernization, and ensure secure AI-generated code reviews while reporting outcomes to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Ten or more years in software development with at least three years leading engineering organizations at director level or above.
• Proven hands-on use of AI development tools with a clear view on benefits and risks.
• Experience raising an engineering organization from AI assistance to agentic, human-on-the-loop delivery, including governance and validation.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud technologies, modern development methodologies, and enterprise software delivery.
• Proven translation of AI capability into customer-facing value and revenue.
• Experience delivering enterprise software to public sector, public safety, or other regulated markets is strongly preferred.
• Track record modernizing legacy platforms while supporting an installed customer base.
• Security-conscious development practices including security review of AI-generated code.

Responsibilities

• Own release commitments across every development team, including scope, sequencing, and dates communicated to customers and sales.
• Establish a single reporting cadence for status, blockers, and slips to surface risk early.
• Standardize development process, tooling, and engineering metrics across companies that operate today.
• Resolve cross-team dependencies and accelerate decisions requiring executive input.
