Job summary

The Outreach Team in Asheville, NC is hiring a Turf Director to lead ground operations for voter contact and get-out-the-vote efforts. You will manage turf targeting, data analysis, and staff coordination with a focus on safety and effectiveness.

Ideal candidates are fluent with VAN, PDI, and GSuite, able to learn new mapping/database tools, and comfortable navigating local districts. This role begins ASAP and runs through the campaign season.

Qualifications

• Experience with target precincts and demographic profiling.
• Ability to analyze canvass results and adjust strategy.
• Strong leadership and staff motivation skills.
• Knowledge of NC geography and political landscape.

Responsibilities

• Identify target precincts and voter subsets within districts.
• Train and support staff, and develop leadership.
• Build diverse, equitable, and just team culture.
• Canvass weekly and ensure program quality and safety.
• Develop strategic plans to reach target voters in locations.
• Audit data nightly, weekly, and monthly as needed.
