Wichita State University is seeking a part-time Civic Engagement Intern to support voter engagement activities on the Main Campus in Wichita, KS. This student assistant will perform administrative and outreach tasks under the supervision of the Coordinator of Civic Engagement.
Responsibilities include presenting on voter registration, organizing workshops, tabling at events, and coordinating one civic event per semester while engaging with community partners and the Shockers Vote! Coalition.

The Civic Engagement Internship is an integral part of the Student Engagement & Belonging team and the Shockers Vote! Coalition. This position will run through the 2026–2027 academic year and will be supervised directly by the Coordinator of Civic Engagement. The internship is designed to provide students with meaningful, hands‑on experience in voter and civic engagement through a combination of defined responsibilities, event planning, community engagement, and leadership opportunities
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.
