Job summary

Wichita State University seeks a Campus Activities Intern to support Student Engagement & Belonging. The role is on-site, part-time, 15 hours per week, starting August 2026, with duties including event planning, logistics, and campus programming support.

You will collaborate with staff and student groups to create engaging experiences, while developing skills in communication, leadership, and teamwork in a supportive academic setting.

Qualifications

• Must maintain good academic standing.
• Must be a student at Wichita State University enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conceptualization, planning, and execution of campus-wide events, handling logistics such as room reservations, equipment, and catering.
• Co-lead campus tradition initiatives related to Shocktoberfest and related events.
• Coordinate marketing and outreach, including posters, information tables, and presenting to campus groups.
• Provide on-site support during events, including setup, teardown, and crowd management.
• Assist with inventory, data entry for attendance, and tracking expenses.
• Attend regular 1-on-1 meetings with supervisor to measure progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
