Job summary

Virginia Tech in Hampton, VA is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the Coastal Virginia Conservation & Resilience Corps and related workforce development initiatives at the Coastal Collaborator.

You will recruit and place 15 AmeriCorps volunteers, track their progress and outcomes, assist with host-site relationships and grant management, and work with students and partners to advance program objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in workforce development related program management or volunteer coordination.
• Experience working with students and industry professionals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage administrative and programmatic requirements of the Coastal Virginia Conservation & Resilience Corps program and related workforce development initiatives.
• Recruit and place 15 AmeriCorps volunteers at local organizations in southeastern Virginia.
• Track volunteer information and accomplishments and assist with grant management.
