Job summary

Virginia Tech's Center for Communicating Science seeks a Project Coordinator for Community Engagement Initiatives. The role collaborates with CCS leadership to plan, promote, deliver, maintain, and assess diverse engagement activities with on- and off-campus partners.

Responsibilities include liaising with collaborators, supporting events like dialogues and training series, and managing CCS online presence while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in community engagement, event, and/or project management.
• Organized, thorough, and efficient.
• Project management or coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, delivery, and assessment of CCS activities.
• Serve as a liaison between CCS and collaborators (eg. COMPASS Center) and broader communities.
• Support promotion, smooth delivery, and online presence of CCS initiatives.
• Assist with event organization, outreach, and training activities for stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain communications, reporting, and documentation.
