FUNetix is a patented, science-based, and simplified method of teaching reading to children, available in the US and worldwide. The FUNetix 12 Hours Reading App is accessible via the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon App Store.

FUNetix combines ancient methodologies with modern technology to help children see the sounds in words and map sounds to letters, simplifying reading.

The American Youth Literacy Foundation, established in 2008, aims to ensure all children learn to read by the end of 3rd grade, deploying the FUNetix app nationwide.

The app, launched in 2020, helps children progress from the alphabet to a 2nd-grade reading level through engaging narration, animation, and gamification.

We are expanding our team and seek a skilled UX/UI Team Member to contribute to ongoing projects, including app development, website refresh, and new web-based games.

This volunteer role involves various phases of UX workflow, from research and ideation to prototyping, launch, and optimization.
