FUNetix is a patented, science-based, and simplified way of teaching reading to children, available to parents and children worldwide. The FUNetix 12 Hour Reading App is accessible via the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore.

FUNetix is 19 years old, but in some ways, it is more than 2,000 years old.

The patented FUNetix Reading Decoding System is rooted in an ancient methodology that shows readers how to see the hidden sounds in words.

It borrows from the time-tested method called "diacritics," developed over 2,000 years ago by the Greeks and adopted into Hebrew and Arabic to teach those languages. This system is uniquely adapted for English, making it simple and child-friendly.

FUNetix teaches children to map all 44 sounds of English to the letters and letter combinations, removing guesswork from sounding out words.

Here is an opportunity to join the American Youth Literacy Foundation, a volunteer 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2008, dedicated to ensuring all children in America learn to read by the end of 3rd grade. Our mission is to eliminate illiteracy and promote educational equity nationwide using the FUNetix app.

The free app enables any child to learn to read in just 12 hours of play. Millions of children in the US struggle with reading, leading to over 20 million high school dropouts over the past two decades. But this can change!

Since 2008, we have scaled a science-based, patented curriculum to reach thousands of children. In 2020, during the pandemic, we developed an app that takes children from the alphabet to a 2nd grade reading level through engaging narration, animation, and gamification.

We have been helping children who are not learning in school or face difficult circumstances at home.

We are developing the FUNetix 21ESL™ app, launching in 2027.

We are seeking a skilled UX/UI Team Member to join our team.

The role involves participating in projects like the ESL app, website redesign, web app game development, and other design initiatives. It offers exposure to all phases of UX workflow, including research, ideation, prototyping, launch, and optimization.
