Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate a mature Christian faith and active church involvement, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The role includes completing substitute teacher training and teaching LifeWise classes as needed.

You will implement provided LifeWise curriculum, maintain organized classrooms, and adhere to safety and discipline policies. Attendance records and community communication are also part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher
