Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a substitute teacher who embodies a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. You will lead LifeWise classes using provided curricula, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and communicate with teachers and volunteers.

The role requires completing substitute training and upholding LifeWise policies while representing the organization in the community. Strong interpersonal skills and reliability are essential for this on‑call position.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Faith Statement.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records for each class.
• Keep an orderly classroom and be prepared for emergencies.
• Act as a LifeWise ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers and the teacher.
