Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate strong Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching LifeWise students.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and coordinate duties.
• Communicate with the teacher and act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador in the community.
