Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who share a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. You will teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis using provided lesson plans and maintain a safe, organized classroom.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, community relationships, and adherence to LifeWise policies while supporting students through engaging instruction.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum and lesson plans provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
