LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and active church involvement to support LifeWise classes as needed. You will implement LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and communicate effectively with teachers and volunteers.

The role emphasizes adherence to LifeWise policies, maintaining attendance records, and representing the academy within the community.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain Records: Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain Classroom: Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know procedures for emergencies
• Communicate: Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties; communicate with the teacher
