Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher to support LifeWise classes in the local community. The role requires active church participation and a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

You will train as a substitute, deliver LifeWise lessons, and maintain a safe, organized classroom following policy guidelines. You will also keep attendance, maintain the classroom, and communicate with volunteers and the teacher to ensure smooth class operations and adherence to LifeWise

Qualifications

• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide records to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher; act as an ambassador.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
