Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers dedicated to Biblical teaching and strong communication. The role emphasizes active church participation and caring, perceptive classroom presence.

You will implement LifeWise lesson plans, maintain a safe learning environment, and communicate with the lead teacher and volunteers. This is a faith-aligned, part-time substitute position working within LifeWise classrooms.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
