Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate excellent biblical knowledge and classroom teaching abilities. The role requires active church participation and strong communication and interpersonal skills to care for and engage students.

Ideal candidates maintain a mature Christian faith, participate in a local church, and follow LifeWise policies while representing the organization positively in the community.

Qualifications

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum and lesson plans provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and submit to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and be prepared for emergencies.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador in the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers and with the teacher.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
