Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Georgia seeks a substitute teacher who embodies a mature Christian faith and strong communication skills. You will deliver LifeWise lessons, implement the provided curriculum, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment in accordance with LifeWise policies.

The role requires active church involvement and collaboration with teachers and volunteers to support students while serving as a LifeWise ambassador within the community.

Qualifications

• Must have mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in local church with doctrine aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
