Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher who is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role involves delivering LifeWise lessons, implementing provided curricula, and maintaining a safe, well-organized classroom.

The ideal candidate will have a mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise beliefs and will represent LifeWise in the community while following program policies and record-keeping requirements.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate mature Christian faith in line with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Academy beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and report to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community.

Qualifications and Experience

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
