Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks substitute teachers who can demonstrate biblical knowledge and effective teaching. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring and perceptive in engaging students.

You will complete substitute teacher training, teach LifeWise classes as needed, implement provided curricula, and maintain a safe, organized classroom.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in local church aligned with LifeWise Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know procedures for emergencies.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and coordinate with the teacher.
